Dr. Li graduated from Xiangya School of Medicine, one of the best medical schools in China. She came to North America in the late 1980s. After several years of research, she practiced as a NICU physician in the neonatal intensive care center at Dalhousie Medical School, Nova Scotia, Canada. After moving to the United States with her husband and family, she completed her pediatric residency at  Children’s Hospital of New Orleans -LSU pediatric residency program and Tulane-Ochsner pediatric residency program. She has more than fifteen years experience in pediatrics in North America, including over 4 years of private pediatric practice in Lakeview. 

Dr. Li is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is an American Academy of Pediatrics Fellow (FAAP). She admits and sees patients at Ochsner Baptist and Kenner, East Jefferson, Touro, and Tulane-Lakeside.

Dr. Li considers New Orleans her home after having moved in and between China, Canada and United States of America. She and her husband, Dr. Song-Gui Yang,  have three beautiful children and a dog. When not busy in the clinic or hospital, Dr. Li likes to sing in her church choir. She also volunteers her time in medical missions around the world.
